Today’s post is something that many of us struggle with doing but it is something that many of us need to get better at. We only have so much time in the day and in our lives that sometimes what we don’t do is more important than what we do.
Today we are going to discuss a concept that we both learned in graduate school called managing up. It’s a concept that we have both used successfully in our careers and it is a concept you can use in your personal life.
I had a friend recommend a book to me the other day, I got about ½ through it and suddenly I thought to myself, why the hell am I reading this book? It just wasn’t what I expected and really didn’t justify the time I was spending in reading it.
Are you so focused on doing things right in your life that you forget to understand if you are doing the right things? In other words, doing things right can mean that you are doing the wrong things correctly. Today’s lesson is about doing the right things.
