Why Does Mommy Moan in the Middle of the Night Sometimes?
For today’s post, we are going to keep things short and sweet – kinda like me. Although one of you may not think I’m so sweet after reading it. Hopefully I have piqued your curiosity enough so that you will read down to see who I am referring to…
The subject of today’s post revolves around something that we all have as kids, but that many of us lose as adults.
It is something that generates excitement and opens us up to all types of new possibilities.
It helps us to continue to learn a crapload of cool new stuff throughout our lives.
This trait can aid in strengthening our relationships.
It can also help us to become more productive and efficient.
When I was little it caused me to ask questions like:
Why can I see other people’s eyes but not my own?
How come Big Bird is the only one who can see Snuffleupagus?
Why do flies like poop so much?
If I were to dig a hole and kept digging and digging, would I eventually be in China?
Why do our butts have cracks?
Why does Mommy moan in the middle of the night sometimes?
Now as an adult it causes me to ask questions like:
Hmmm, I wonder if they are real? (I am referring to Mermaids – what did you think I meant?)
Whose idea was it to drink the milk of other mammals?
What do those mammals think of us drinking their milk? Do they secretly want to drink ours too?
Could Elon Musk be right about us living in the Matrix?
Why do our butts have cracks? (I’ve managed to figure out the rest of my childhood questions, but this one still has me stumped)
Actually, there is something else I am curious about from my childhood…was Mom really moaning or was she faking it?
Curiosity may have killed the cat, but the more you can be an interested and inquisitive person, the better your life will be. Meow!
Use It or Lose It
To unleash your curiosity:
Question everything
Try to figure out how things work
Switch things up – Read different things, try different workouts, listen to all types of podcasts, experiment with different sexual positions (Google ‘Eiffel Tower’ and thank me later), watch different videos on YouTube
Don’t be scared to be wrong or to make a mistake
Be careful with assumptions you make
Use active listening skills
When to Unleash Your Curiosity
In relationships – being curious about others by taking an interest in them will make them want to be around you and will endear you to them
At work – you will be a more valuable employee and you will have more fun
Always! ABC – Always Be Curious
Discuss…
Are you a curious person? What are you curious about?
Well, that’s a wrap for today.
Thanks for reading, always be curious and as always…PYMFP!

P.S. Sorry for putting you on blast Mom, but look on the bright side, at least you raised a curious kid!
