These parodies have been some of the internet’s most long-lasting memes and have been going around the web for years. They are subtitled parodies of his last days in a German bunker from the 2004 WWII film Downfall.

The self-improvement takeaway relates to ‘moron proofing’ which is PYP’s version of ‘mistake proofing’ from the world of business.

‘Moron proofing’ is coming up with an idea that would prevent even a moron from making a mistake in a similar situation.

To utilize moron proofing for preventing mistakes:

  Think about mistakes that you make over-and-over again, then be creative and see if you can figure out a way to either automate them so you don’t need to do anything or figure out a way to alert youself – so you don’t forget and can take action.

When to Use ‘Moron Proofing’ for Preventing Mistakes

  If you make the same mistakes or errors repeatedly

  When you forget to do stuff

  If the consequences of the error are expensive or harmful (like forgetting your kids birthday)
